BRIPAN (Formerly known as Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria “IPAN”) was incorporated on 17th June, 1994 under the Companies and Allied Matters Act 1990 as a company limited by guarantee.

Admission is open to members of professional bodies including: ICAN, NBA, Chartered Institute of Bankers (of Nigeria), a member of any such other body that may be accredited from time to time by the Council of the Association, any other professional interested in Business Recovery and Insolvency Practice may also be considered on a case by case basis.

BRIPAN is at forefront of developing insolvency practice in Nigeria. We partner with INSOL International and World Bank Group. Brian was recognised in the CAMA 2020 Act as one of the professional bodies that grants qualification to IPs in capitals.
BRIPAN has rules and regulations that guides and are mandatory for all her members hence there are internal disciplinary measures for erring professionals.
BRIPAN provides networks of Professional practitioners, opportunity to join advocacy and pressure groups, interface on behalf of members, platform for insolvency and business recovery, etc.

Yes becoming a member is almost free provided that you are qualified, all you need is to pay the Application Fee, keep the rules and keep to your responsibilities as a member.
